We are pleased to announce that on July 27th, 2017, PAI Partners, a leading pan-European private equity firm, completed the disposal of a majority stake in DomusVi (“the Group”, the “Company”), one of the top three private players in elderly care in Europe, to Intermediate Capital Group (“ICG”) and Sagesse Retraite Santé (“SRS”), an investment vehicle controlled by Yves Journel for an estimated total enterprise value of €2.364 billion.
Created in the 1980s by Yves Journel, DomusVi is one of the top three private players in elderly care in Europe with leading positions in France and in Spain. The Group is present in all areas of elderly care including Alzheimer and Parkinson units, home care and also operates mental care units in Spain. As of March 2017, DomusVi operates 334 facilities for an average number of 29,829 beds.
In the context of transaction, Sycomore Corporate Finance acted as exclusive financial advisor to DomusVi’s management. The transaction team comprised Olivier Barret, Pierre-Arnaud de Lacharrière, Tristan Dupont, Aurélien Singer and Geoffrey Garcia.
